RMIT Welcome Scholarship
For students in vocational or higher education; worth $5,000.
Applications for semester 2 2022 open 20 May 2022
This scholarship provides $5,000 for one year.
Eligibility
-
be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident or Australian permanent humanitarian visa holder or an international student
-
be enrolling full-time in a certificate IV, diploma or degree program at RMIT in Semester 2 2022
-
have at least one year of full-time study in your program left to complete.

If you did not graduate from the Lonsdale Institute, we encourage you to still apply. However, you must be able to demonstrate both financial and educational disadvantage to be considered. Applicants can demonstrate financial disadvantage by:

receiving a government tested low income benefit or having a Centrelink Health Care Card.
Applicants can demonstrate educational disadvantage by:

having a long-term medical or disability which impacts your study

having previously/are currently living in foster/kinship care or are a ward of the state
-
experiencing difficult family/social circumstances

have/will be relocating from interstate or rural/regional Victoria to study at RMIT
-
were born overseas, are from a non-English speaking background and recently migrated to Australia
-
are a current or former refugee
-
completed your secondary education at a School Network Access Program school.

Preference will be given to students who graduated from the Lonsdale Institute.
