Although this change of skills assessing authority has occurred, this has not yet been amended in the relevant instruments.

The assessment criteria for all occupations assessed by IML ANZ have been updated to better reflect current Australian industry and professional standards.

From 23 March 2021, all applicants will need to meet the new assessment criteria. The IML recommends applicants refer to the new IML’s Management Competency Framework. The revised criteria can be found on the IML website.

From 8 March 2021 until 22 March 2021, applicants who meet either the previous or the revised assessment criteria will receive a positive outcome. The previous assessment criteria are available on the IML website.
IML has also updated the Supporting Documentation Guide. Please note the following changes:
Three forms of ID are required.

Award Certificate and full transcripts with details for courses and years studied are required under the qualification criteria.

All documents that are not in English must be translated by NAATI translator.
The qualification verification section has been revised.
IML has a specific Migration Agent Authorisation Form that is required to accompany applications lodged by RMA.
